The Ryder’s Cup is a charitable golf tournament held at the award-winning Soule Park Golf Course in Ojai, California—bringing together community members, sponsors, and golfers for a premier golf experience with purpose.

Honoring the Life of Ryder Sturt
“A gentle giant whose kindness left a lasting imprint on
everyone he met.”
Ryder Sturt lived fully—pursuing passions for photography, videography, diving, travel, and meaningful work, while building lasting friendships everywhere he went. Ryder tragically passed away in 2020 at the age of 31 in a diving accident near Santa Cruz Island
At just 20 years old, Ryder accompanied his mother to South Africa with S.A.M.E., where the organization served vulnerable children and families in the impoverished villages of the Timbavati region. Standing 6’4″, he was lovingly known as the “gentle giant” the children eagerly gathered around.

S.A.M.E. — South African Medical Expeditions
S.A.M.E. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing medical care, resources, and support to vulnerable children and families in underserved regions of South Africa. Every dollar raised through The Ryder’s Cup directly supports their life-changing mission.
